NEKOMANCER

Created at the dawn of time by the goddess Ubastis, cats have always been part of the world.  Most cats walk upright, have more than one tale and are possess some natural talent for necromancy. Among the most talented of death cats are the Nekomancers, who hold a special place in cat society as elders, ambassadors and religious figures. While not on the same social strata as the poets, the nekomancers are often conscripted into armies and militias for their ability to force the dead to speak, even when they would rather not. Nekomancers have a special connection with the goddess Ubastis and can feel her at the edges of their souls, allowing them to quickly create Ubasti bombs. Thousands of cats souls breach through the fabric of life and death to confound and destroy the nekomancers enemies. Because of their usefulness in military intelligence, many cats, not just nekomancers, are killed en mass by the opposing side.

Spirit Burst (reaction) Trigger The nekomancer is brought to 0 HP. Effect The negative energy stored in the nekomancer rapidly escapes after the nekomancer’s death. All creatures within 30 feet of the nekomancer must succeed on a DC 22 Fortitude save or take 5d6 negative energy damage.

Ubasti Bomb (two actions)(occult, necromancy) The nekomancer taps into the swirling cacophony of spirits and unleashes that power onto its enemies. A ghostly cloud of angry cats appears within 60 feet of the nekomancer with a radius of 10 feet. All creatures caught in the effect must make a DC 23 Will save. On a success, the creature is unaffected. On a failure the creature takes 3d6 negative energy damage and gains the freighted 2 condition (frightened 3 on a critical failure).
